00:00 Hey, CoverGirls.
00:00 I'm Giselle.
00:01 And today, we're going to be doing a smoky cat eye that
00:04 is perfect for prom.
00:06 Prom is one of my favorite memories,
00:07 even though I actually didn't get asked.
00:10 But let's do this.
00:11 Let's have fun.
00:11 [MUSIC PLAYING]
00:14 I'm going to start off putting on my Ready, Set,
00:16 Gorgeous foundation.
00:18 This is supposed to be a medium coverage foundation.
00:21 But what's awesome is that you can build it up so you can
00:23 get that full coverage look.
00:25 I am putting on a foundation that
00:27 is a few shades lighter than my skin tone.
00:30 I do this just because I want it to highlight
00:32 some of my darker areas.
00:33 And that way, I can kind of skip a step
00:35 in terms of contouring later.
00:37 Let's just hope I don't get any in my hair.
00:41 While that's still dewy and damp,
00:43 I am going to grab the Ready, Set, Gorgeous in 315
00:47 for just a little hint of color and a little bit of contouring.
00:51 So now I'm going to go ahead and get started with my eyes.
00:54 I'm going to prime the eyes first using
00:56 one of the Bombshell Shine Shadows.
00:59 So I put some on my hand.
01:01 Put this all over my eyelid.
01:04 I don't want too much color, but just
01:07 enough to get an idea of where I'm going to be doing my work.
01:11 Now I'm going to take my angle brush.
01:13 I'm using one of CoverGirl's awesome quads
01:16 and using the darkest purple color here.
01:19 Line it up between the end of my eyelid and the end of my brow.
01:24 And I'm going to fan it around the outer contour,
01:30 working my way into the lash line,
01:33 and just keep building up that color.
01:36 I'm going to take this very pigmented lavender right here,
01:39 and I'm going to add some dimension by putting it
01:42 right in the middle of my crease to the inner third of my eye,
01:45 and then working it all the way around.
01:48 I'm going to grab the next lightest color.
01:50 Although, I mean, you don't even have to go one, two, three,
01:53 four.
01:53 I just like working from darkest to lightest.
01:56 I'm going to take my lightest color here,
01:57 open up my eyes by putting it inside my tear ducts,
02:01 underneath my brow bone, and then to clean up these edges.
02:06 Makeup wipe time.
02:07 Lots to clean underneath.
02:10 I'm also going to get this junk that's in here.
02:12 I do not like for color to be up there.
02:14 I like that to be only open or white.
02:18 And now I'm just going to take a clean brush and go over
02:20 everything to make sure we don't have any really blunt edges.
02:24 Now I'm going to use this line as a guide
02:37 when I put on my eyeliner.
02:38 I'm using my Intensify Me liner.
02:41 I'm going to start really thin on the inside.
02:44 Now as I get towards the end here,
02:46 I'm going to use the end of my eyebrow
02:49 and the end of my lash line as a guide.
02:51 And this is where I'm going to create the cat eye.
02:54 And yes, even though I've done this millions of times,
02:56 I still get really scared doing it.
02:58 So don't judge me if I mess up.
03:01 Now I'm just going to fill that in.
03:05 I think I'm also going to add a point to the inner tear duct
03:08 too.
03:09 Go along the bottom.
03:10 And I'm going to use my pencil, purple pencil actually,
03:18 to blend it all in on the bottom.
03:21 This does not have to be perfect here.
03:23 I mean, I kind of butchered my lower liner.
03:25 But I'm cheating with, hello, my makeup wipe
03:29 to clean up the lower liner and also create
03:33 a fine point with my tail.
03:36 All right, left eye.
03:37 I think everyone has an eye that's
03:39 a little easier than the other.
03:41 This is not my easy side.
03:42 Here comes that point.
03:48 And then I want to add still a little extra something,
03:51 so I'm going to use my eye shadow
03:54 and smoke up the bottom just a little bit more
03:57 and give it some color.
03:59 And now I'm going to go back to that concealer
04:03 to smooth everything out.
04:07 Get rid of these panda circles.
04:10 Bring out the cat.
04:15 All right, so now I'm going to fill in these brows
04:18 with my CoverGirl brow powder.
04:20 I love this stuff.
04:21 I'm going to go ahead and fill in what I already have,
04:24 but also my hair is a little sparser on these areas.
04:27 So I want to try to even those out.
04:30 I actually stinched off one of my brows
04:33 at a bonfire after prom, and it's never
04:35 grown back the same since.
04:37 And of course, even your brows, you have to blend.
04:43 So I'm going to grab my little spoolie brush here.
04:45 Now I'm going to grab a little bit of powder.
04:50 Now for my favorite part, lashes.
04:58 My eyes feel very heavy with shadows,
05:00 so now I get to wake them up.
05:02 And now I've got my Supersizer mascara.
05:05 I'm obsessed with this mascara because the wand does not
05:08 miss a single lash.
05:12 I'm just going to push and roll the mascara
05:14 through my lashes for ultimate volume and curl.
05:18 Almost ready for prom.
05:19 I'm going to grab my flat top brush and my powder.
05:24 This is when I'm going to really smooth out my skin.
05:27 Keep that makeup on as we shake it through the night.
05:32 Some pretty pink CoverGirl cheekers.
05:37 The apples of my cheeks.
05:41 And last but not least, my lips.
05:44 I'm going to line them up with my Lip Perfection liner.
05:46 This is 235.
05:48 I'm going to stay within the lines, not go too crazy here.
05:52 And now I'm using CoverGirl Outlast lipstick, which
05:55 is long wear and moisture.
05:57 So your lips will be kissable and on your face
06:00 all night long.
06:01 And now you can totally wear that as is,
06:06 but I'm going to add just a little bit of sparkle
06:10 and dimension with some Queen Collection gloss.
06:13 And there you are.
06:18 Here is my smoky cat eye prom look,
06:21 although this is perfect for a night out or even
06:23 a bachelorette party, whatever your occasion.
06:25 Thank you so much for watching.
