Storyline: Kit Preston, a rich American married a few months ago to a London financier and settled with him in England, is persecuted and obsessed by a mysterious individual who, using the telephone and hidden in the darkness of the fog, addresses fearful threats to her. This siege takes place in such strange and illogical circumstances that neither her affable and thoughtful husband, nor the police give much credence to Kit's revelations, driven by terror to the brink of madness.
