00:00 This tutorial is Vivid Blues for brown eyes.
00:10 I've already prepped my skin with a bit of Illamasqua Matte Veil.
00:13 So we're going to start with the eyes and to begin with I'm using Kryolan's Cream Liner
00:18 in Snow which is just a completely white shade.
00:21 Always use a brush with synthetic hair when using cream products.
00:24 The reason for this is the product will not stick in the hair of the brush, it will just
00:27 glide on and wash out easily.
00:29 I've chosen to use a white cream liner as the base.
00:32 The reason for this is because the blue is really going to pop off of the white as opposed
00:36 to the colour it would if you just put it on top of your skin.
00:39 These range of liners also dry on contact so once you've buffed them in they sit and
00:44 they don't shift so they're a great base for any eyeshadows that you apply.
00:47 I've placed the bulk of the product on the mobile eyelid and then I've buffed it up out
00:51 towards the brow and then I've also taken a little bit of that underneath the lower
00:54 lashes.
00:55 I'm going to be using a few of these colours from my Coastal Scents palette and the first
00:59 colour I'm going to be placing on the inner third of the eye is called Blue Hawaiian and
01:03 this is a satin finish eyeshadow.
01:04 I'm using a patting motion to apply this colour so I don't get too much fall down and then
01:09 I'm just buffing the seams with a blending brush.
01:11 Then right on the inner corner of the lid using a pencil brush I'm applying S11 and
01:16 that is like a sea green and it's a frosted shade so it's going to add that extra bit
01:19 of shimmer.
01:20 Then same as before, take the same blending brush and just go over it.
01:23 To add a little depth and dimension to the eye we're going to use this darker blue called
01:27 Capri Blue and we're going to apply that to the outer third of the eye.
01:30 Pat that on in a C shape around the actual eyelid itself and then we're just going to
01:35 go around with the blending brush following that C shape.
01:38 Then we're going back in with the same flat shader brush and applying it in a little bit
01:41 more of a wing shape and then blending it again.
01:44 For the next bit I've completed one eye first and then I'm going back in to do the next
01:48 one so you can see.
01:50 This eyeshadow is called Deep Eggplant and it's like a purpley blue shade, it's got a
01:54 little bit of shimmery glitter through it.
01:56 I'm patting that colour on on the outer edge of where we've already placed that Capri Blue
02:01 and then going over the top of that Deep Eggplant with the Capri Blue.
02:05 This is going to create a nice gradient between the two colours as well as ensure that neither
02:08 colour get lost, they'll both be visible.
02:11 We're going to blend this out using small circular motions until it's really soft at
02:15 the edges.
02:16 Taking a little bit more of that Capri Blue we're going to run that on the flat shader
02:20 brush underneath the lower lashes.
02:22 The next colour we're going to take is Poison Plum by Sugarpill and this is a nice matte
02:26 purple.
02:27 And on a pencil brush by Sigma we're going to softly draw around that V shape on the
02:31 outer edge, taking that down towards the lower lashes and through the socket and then blend
02:35 that out.
02:36 It's best to use a clean brush for this.
02:38 The next colour we're going to use is a Satin Pink and it's called Reef Pink.
02:43 And on that blending brush we're going to work that pink eyeshadow into the seam of
02:47 the purple eyeshadow and this is going to create that really soft blend towards the
02:51 eyebrow bone.
02:52 When working with darker eyeshadows it's often handy or ideal to use a slightly lighter shade
02:58 on your blending brush just to help blend the colour out.
03:00 I'm going to apply some brow powder by Anastasia Beverly Hills and this is in Brunette.
03:05 My natural brows are quite light and we do need a slightly stronger brow for this, nothing
03:10 too heavy because the eyes are quite strong.
03:13 So I'm just using a Brunette shade but again this is optional depending on what your natural
03:17 brow is like.
03:20 In keeping with the colour of the eyes I'm using a Kohl pencil by MAC called Violet Underground
03:25 and I'm applying this to the waterline.
03:27 You can opt for a blue here, you can go light or dark, you can even use black.
03:30 But as I'm using this bluey purple liquid liner by Lime Crime I also wanted to use a
03:36 purpley shade for the waterline.
03:39 This liquid liner I believe is called Lazuli, I think that's how you pronounce it and it's
03:43 a really beautiful colour.
03:45 I've taken that across the top lid close to the lash line and I'm also taking that under
03:49 the lower lashes.
03:50 Don't worry if it paints your lashes because we're going to go over this with mascara.
03:54 And the one I'm using at the moment and I'm really big on is the Too Faced Better Than
03:58 Sex Mascara.
03:59 The foundation I've chosen to use is a Bobbi Brown one, it's the Long Wear Even Finish Foundation
04:04 and the reason I've chosen to apply it with my hands is because you get a nice fine application,
04:09 it's not too thick and obviously as we've got nice bold eyes and we're going to wear
04:13 a nice pink lip we don't want thick foundation.
04:15 We're not going to be applying any blusher so we're just going to use a little bit of
04:19 Chanel bronzer.
04:20 I'm applying that to the cheekbones, the circumference of the face and a little bit on the nose,
04:24 chin and neck.
04:25 For the same reasons as the foundation the reason we're not going for any blush is because
04:29 we've got bold eyes and a bold lip.
04:31 To add a little bit more bronzer to the cheek we're using Hoola by Benefit.
04:36 And then for the last part of the tutorial we are using lipstick by Bobbi Brown and this
04:40 is in Shocking Pink.
04:42 This is a beautiful matte finish.
04:44 And over that Bury M lipstick we're going to use one by Model Co and this is a party
04:48 proof cream lipstick in the shade Pink in a View.
04:51 I think this colour lipstick really works well with the colour of the eyes.
04:55 So that is the look complete, I hope you've liked it, please give me a thumbs up if you
04:58 have and thank you for watching.
04:59 Bye!
