00:00 Hey guys, my name is Anne and welcome back to my channel.
00:04 And first of all, I would like to deeply apologize for this scenery right here.
00:09 It's been extremely hot in Hawaii but I managed to survive the heat.
00:14 Anywho, today I'm going to be doing something, something different.
00:20 And it is me behind the camera as I capture my sister Marietta right there.
00:26 Demonstrate to y'all how to do my favorite dish of all time which is called the Big Imitation Crab.
00:34 Okay? So please stay tuned and keep on watching you guys.
00:39 And this is my sister Marietta and believe it or not, she's my big sister.
00:49 She just have a problem with her height and but she's working on it.
00:53 And now she's going to be showing y'all the ingredients right here and start.
00:59 So in this dish, we're going to need some onion.
01:03 This is optional. You can go with or without the onion.
01:06 Just finely chop it.
01:08 You're also going to need, this is one of the main ingredients, the imitation crab.
01:13 You can buy this at your, yes, Travis.
01:19 You can buy this in your, any grocery store. It's called imitation crab.
01:25 And you're also going to need some cream cheese, any cream cheese.
01:30 We're probably going to use a block or one package in this dish.
01:35 Some sour cream. You can also use mayonnaise.
01:40 But I prefer sour cream because it comes out much better.
01:45 The texture is much better and the flavor is way better.
01:50 And also we're going to need rice seasoning. It's called nori, furikake.
01:56 And it's basically just sesame seeds, salt, sugar, and seaweed.
02:01 And you can find this at any grocery store on the Asian food aisle.
02:06 And we're also going to need a mixing bowl, steamed white rice.
02:11 And we're going to mix it all up in here and I'm going to show you in a little bit how the mixture is going to look like.
02:17 So right now I'm putting in the cream cheese.
02:22 And the sour cream.
02:28 So I think I'm going to use a cup and a half of sour cream.
02:40 It's important that before you make this mixture, make sure your cream cheese has been sitting at room temperature.
02:52 So it's easier to mix it with all the other ingredients.
02:57 So it's kind of soft already, like so.
03:01 Okay, I'm going to throw in the onion.
03:07 Make sure you guys chop it up really fine because it's just going to have a big chunk of onion.
03:18 Just mix it all up.
03:20 And now you can add in the imitation crab.
03:25 You can just cut it into batches.
03:30 It always makes more sense.
03:32 Mix it all up, like so.
03:36 And also you're going to need a little bit of salt to taste.
03:48 Usually I just put a little bit just so it will have more flavor.
03:54 And I'll show you in a little bit what I'm going to do with this.
04:00 So you put in all the ingredients.
04:02 So in here we have the cream cheese, the sour cream, and the onion imitation crab.
04:08 And I'm just mixing it really, really well.
04:12 And this is going to be our topping for our baked imitation crab.
04:18 And I'm going to show you how we're going to layer it.
04:29 So we have here our steamed rice.
04:34 I just made it.
04:36 And I just put it in this baking dish and lay it flat.
04:43 As you can see I just flattened it.
04:45 It's all flat.
04:47 What we're going to do is we're going to put this rice seasoning, the nori, the norikake, just on top.
04:55 Like this.
04:59 And by the way, our oven is heating now.
05:03 We heat it to 350.
05:06 As we're making this layering of the rice and the norikake.
05:16 And you can put as much as you can.
05:21 You can go lightly, you can go heavily.
05:24 It depends on you.
05:26 I'm going to go heavy.
05:28 You just like norikake.
05:30 Yes, yes.
05:32 With all our hearts.
05:34 I used up most of it.
05:38 It was like three quarters of a bottle.
05:45 After you top it with the norikake seasoning, you can add in the imitation crab mixture.
05:56 You just have to be very careful.
06:03 Now that we put in all the mixture on top of the rice and the norikake nori, we're going to put this in the oven.
06:15 350.
06:18 And for about 20, 15 to 25 minutes until the topping or the imitation crab is golden brown.
06:30 And we'll show you how it's done.
06:33 I mean, how you eat it.
06:36 You eat it like it's a sushi, you just wrap it in a nori or a seaweed.
06:44 And yeah, we'll show you how we do it.
06:48 So, we're going to put this in the oven for 20 minutes.
06:52 And I suggest that by 15 minutes, you should stop the baking and put it on high boil.
07:00 So that way it will crisp and the top will be nice and brown and crispy.
07:07 And we'll see you in 15 minutes.
07:09 Okay, it should look like this.
07:20 Pretty golden brown on the top.
07:24 And it's done.
07:25 I believe.
07:28 Okay, so this is basically the finished product.
07:32 The top is golden brown and everything is okay.
07:35 And how to eat this is, you know, you cut like a small portion and you get seaweed and just, you know, wrap it around.
07:45 And yeah, you're good to go.
07:47 And this is basically how to do the crab imitation, the baked crab imitation.
07:54 And I hope you guys learn something. It's just an easy step.
07:58 It's very delicious and it's very healthy.
08:00 And yeah, see you guys in my next video. Bye!
08:04 Bye!
08:04 - What did you say, guys?
