00:00 Measuring spices is easy as long as you've got the correct equipment.
00:10 You'll need measuring spoons, a cup, a blunt knife, and mixing bowl.
00:17 Once you've got all of these items, the first step is to grab the appropriate measuring
00:21 spoon or cup based on the recipe.
00:24 For example, if your recipe requires one and a half teaspoons of ground cinnamon, you'll
00:29 need to grab two measuring spoons, one that is one teaspoon and another that is a half
00:34 a teaspoon.
00:36 Next, insert the measuring spoon or cup into the spice jar or bag and scoop out the ingredient.
00:43 Being careful not to spill the ingredient, take your hands and use the flat end to scrape
00:49 off the excess spice across the top of the spoon or cup so that you have a flat surface.
00:55 You can scrape off the excess spice into either the jar or bag or into a mess bowl.
01:02 Finally, transfer the spice from your measuring spoon or cup into your mixing bowl.
