00:00 Hello, I'm Porkchop. And I'm Bacon.
00:04 And we're here live today at Piggy Cooking.
00:07 Today we are going to be making a delicious chocolate cake
00:11 where you can serve it to whoever you want.
00:14 Your party, your auntie, your mommy, whichever family member, whatever you want to do.
00:21 And remember, keep calm and oink on.
00:24 Before we get started baking, I'd like to tell you that this is an official recipe,
00:28 but you can use it when you're baking.
00:31 Today we are going to be making a rich chocolate cake,
00:34 and the ingredients you are going to be needing for that chocolate cake is
00:38 3/4 cup cocoa powder, 2 cups of flour, a pinch of salt, 2 cups of sugar,
00:44 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 2 teaspoons of baking soda.
00:49 Sorry, that'd be 2 teaspoons of baking powder.
00:53 1 and 3/4 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of butter, and 3 eggs plus 1 quarts of jargon egg if you can find it.
01:00 If you can't, just 3 eggs is fine.
01:03 Also, if you are interested in making this cake, we will have the recipe in the description below.
01:10 So you can make this cake along with us.
01:13 So we're going to start by putting the cocoa powder into the flour mixture.
01:20 And we're just going to mix that up.
01:23 And then we're going to add in our baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
01:28 So we're going to put in our cocoa powder, as we already did,
01:32 and then we're going to put in our baking powder,
01:36 our baking soda,
01:39 and our salt.
01:42 Then, you're just going to mix that together.
01:49 And make sure you hold on to the bowl.
01:52 Now that we've got our flour mixture all combined with our cocoa powder and the rest of that good stuff,
02:01 we are going to add 1/2 cup of butter into a large mixing bowl,
02:07 and we're going to cream that together.
02:09 But before you start putting the butter in, make sure that it is softened butter.
02:14 I don't mean straight from your fridge, or melted, just put it in the microwave for a few seconds,
02:22 just so you can run your finger through it and it will be perfectly fine.
02:26 But make sure that it's room temperature butter.
02:30 Once your butter is all creamed, it should look like this.
02:37 And then we are going to add our sugar and spice and everything nice.
02:44 Now you are going to add your 2 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup at a time.
02:48 So this is 1/2 cup of sugar, and you're just going to mix that in with the butter.
02:53 Once you have mixed in the first half, you are going to add the second half,
03:01 so that will be a cup, and you're going to mix that in.
03:04 Now you are going to add your third half,
03:09 so that will be a cup and a half, and then you are going to add your last half a cup,
03:15 and make sure that it's mixed very thoroughly, and then we'll add in the eggs.
03:20 And now you're going to add in your quartz dragon egg, or your 3 eggs.
03:27 I'm just going to be using the quartz dragon egg because I found it pretty easy at the supermarket.
03:32 But you probably can't find quartz dragon eggs, so you can just use 3 eggs, that's fine.
03:39 So once you have added in your egg, you're just going to mix that up.
03:49 Just so you know, 1 quartz dragon egg is 3 servings of eggs.
03:53 So 1 quartz dragon egg equals 3 eggs, so that's why we just used 1 quartz dragon egg.
04:01 Now we are going to add our vanilla extract into the bowl.
04:07 Then we are going to mix that very thoroughly, so it all will combine.
04:14 Then we are going to alternate from adding our milk and our flour mixture.
04:19 So now that we have our batter all mixed together with the egg,
04:24 we are going to alternate by adding the flour and the milk,
04:28 now since there is more flour, we are going to add the flour first,
04:32 about a third at a time, third to fourth, and same with the milk.
04:36 I'm going to add in the flour and Bacon is going to add in the milk.
04:39 Yep, so if you can hand me the bowl Bacon.
04:43 Thank you.
04:45 Put a little bit of the flour in there.
04:50 And then we are going to mix that up a little bit.
04:57 I found it.
04:58 Where's the mixing tool?
05:00 Oh I found it.
05:01 I found it.
05:07 And we're just going to mix that up.
05:10 So we're just going to mix, mix, mix, try to keep it in the bowl.
05:13 It's very important if you want to keep it in the bowl, then add some milk.
05:19 Mix that up.
05:26 And then Bacon, if you could pass the bowl back.
05:29 Why don't you just keep it in the bowl?
05:31 Okay.
05:32 Oh my goodness, I added in a bunch.
05:39 Might have to add the rest of the milk in.
05:42 Yeah, just add in the rest of the milk.
05:44 Add in the rest of the milk now.
05:50 It's looking really dry.
05:52 It was during the winter.
05:54 And it was amazing.
05:56 And it was, you know, like some of the things about it that I saw, I'm like, there's a lot of homeless people there.
06:02 But they're taken care of.
06:04 There's people that like genuinely go out just to help people.
06:08 I'm like, oh that's pretty cool, you know.
06:10 Some of the culture there is really nice.
06:12 We just finished up this cake.
06:16 So, as you can see, the cake has a seven on it.
06:21 And also, it's very pretty.
06:26 We just icinged it with some blue buttercream frosting.
06:30 And we will be showing you some pictures at the end of the video.
06:34 Anyway, if you guys would like to know how to make the buttercream frosting and what dye to use and how to dye your frosting,
