Victorian police chief issues bail direction in wake of Veronica Nelson inquest findings

Victoria's police chief has written to all senior officers urging them to make sure they're not unnecessarily denying bail to vulnerable people. It comes as part of the force's response to findings from the coronial inquest into the 2020 prison death of aboriginal woman Veronica Nelson.
