MARKET FIRE

Fire hit the Bangabazar Market in Dhaka on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 (Wednesday in Manila) although no casualties have been reported. The fire raged for six hours, according to officials who have yet to determine how the fire started.
Many shop owners burst into tears; they had been hoping for good business ahead of Islam’s largest festival Eid-al Fitr later this month.
