Melbourne woman placed in abusive foster home receives record $2.6m payout

A woman who was abused as a child in Victoria's foster care system has been awarded a record settlement. The law graduate has now legally severed ties with the family which went on to adopt her. High-profile lawyers say the 2-point-6 million dollar payout awarded by the supreme court is the biggest they've seen.
