A dramatic video shows the moment a car crashes through the wall of a house and into a living room before the driver then runs away, having caused £30,000 in damage.
The police found a silver Audi A3 sticking out of the living room wall, airbags inflated, in the early hours of a Saturday morning.
Michael Wilson, 34, lied to police saying his car was stolen, but later admitted to dangerous driving after his DNA was found on his cars airbags at the scene in Wisbech, Cambs.
Video from inside the living room shows a quiet scene before flashing lights can be seen from through the front door window.
He was given a two-year suspended jail sentence last Friday (Mar 24) at Huntingdon Law Court, Cambs, but denied lying to the police.
DC Pete Wise, who investigated, said: “This was an incredibly scary incident for the occupants of the house."
