Eliú, un garçon de la campagne, est incarcéré́ dans un centre expérimental pour mineurs au cœur de la forêt tropicale colombienne, pour un crime qu’il a commis avec son ami El Mono. Chaque jour, les adolescents effectuent des travaux manuels éprouvants et suivent des thérapies de groupe intenses. Un jour, El Mono est transféré dans le même centre et ramène avec lui un passé dont Eliú tente de s’éloigner.
