Vienna, 1930. Count von Kozsnom has lost his thirst for life, and his marriage cooled centuries ago. Fortunately, Sigmund Freud is accepting new patients; the good doctor suggests the Count appease his vain wife by commissioning a portrait of her by his assistant, Viktor. But it’s Viktor’s headstrong girlfriend Lucy who most intrigues the Count, convinced she’s the reincarnation of his one true love. Soon, the whole crowd is a hilarious mess of mistaken identities and misplaced affections in this send-up of the vampire genre, proving that 500 years of marriage is enough.

Wien, Anfang der 30er-Jahre. Auf Sigmund Freuds Couch findet sich ein mysteriöser Graf ein, der seines Daseins überdrüssig und von seiner Frau, der Gräfin, einfach nur noch genervt ist. Was Freud nicht weiß, ist, dass der nächtliche Patient ein Vampir ist. Dieser scheint seinen Lebensdurst aber sehr schnell wiederzuerlangen, als er Lucy, der Freundin eines Mitarbeiters Freuds, begegnet. In ihr seine vor Hunderten von Jahren verblichene Geliebte wiedererkennend, versucht er Lucy mit allen Mitteln für sich zu gewinnen. Und so dauert es nicht lange, bis die Gräfin das bunte Treiben ihres Sarg-Nachbarn bemerkt. Der Ehestreit ist perfekt. Und wird mit spitzen Zähnen geführt.
