While Eva schemes to nail down the role, our four leads begin their own journey on the road to fame. Als für die Kino-Verfilmung einer äußert erfolgreichen Telenovela die neue Hauptrolle in einem öffentlichen Casting gesucht wird, machen sich viele junge Frauen aus unterschiedlichen Schichten und Regionen Mexikos auf, um dieser neue Star zu werden. Dabei lernen wir einige Protagonistinnen und ihre sozialen Hintergründe und Motivationen kennen und dürfen gespannt miterleben wer am Ende gewinnen wird und was für wen am Ende wirklich zählt. Eine mexikanische Komödie, die nicht nur auf den ausgetrampelten Pfaden der Miss-Wahlen- und Ich-werde-ein-Star-Filmen bleibt, aber diese durchaus auch bedient.
