Lorentz National Park is a national park located between 3 provinces on the island of Papua, namely Highlands Papua, Central Papua and South Papua, Indonesia.
In 1999, Lorentz National Park was designated as a world heritage site by UNESCO. UNESCO also establishes Lorentz National Park as the largest national park area in Southeast Asia. Lorentz National Park covers 2.7 million hectares, stretching from the Carstensz Mountains in the north to the shores of the Arafura Sea in the south. Lorentz National Park is the largest and most comprehensive conservation area in Asia Pacific.
