Thanks to Charles Smith for bass, Kristin Kanady on soprano backup vocals, Dwayne Salter on piano, with me on guitar, vocals, whistle. This is such a happy little song about the sunny seaside of life. It just popped out while I was playing chords to check out the sound system one Sunday morning as we prepared for Praise and Worship. We were at “The Woodsmen of the World” building in Fairport NC. It is the first song on a CD I released in 2006 called “Will This Town Survive.”

I once played drums as a kid in an Irving Berlin musical in Panama Canal Zone, and although there is no melody connection, for some reason this song always reminded me of Irving Berlin's music.
My brother Don's favorite line in it was "I miss your hand in mine, I miss your kiss, I long to have you hold me tight, but it's YOU I really miss."

Recorded at Blue Creek Valley Farm studio in Oxford NC
