Elon Musk changes Twitter poll voting policy after users opt to oust him as CEO
  • last year
Twitter owner and CEO Elon Musk has said that the social media platform will only allow users with a blue tick to vote on policy changes. This comes after Musk launched a poll asking his followers if he should step down as CEO, saying that he would abide by the results. Over 17 million users voted in the poll and 57.5% of them voted for Musk to step down as Twitter’s CEO. One user told Musk that only Twitter Blue subscribers should vote on policy-related polls as they “have skin in the game”. Musk replied to the user saying they made a “good point” and the company will “make that change”. The billionaire has not yet commented on the results of the poll, however, he did say that he currently does not have a successor. Musk claims that “no one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive”.
