Though it never achieved the status of his “Sleigh Ride” “Blue Tango” or “The Syncopated Clock,” this orchestral novelty was among Leroy Anderson’s more memorable compositions...long a performance favorite in ‘pops concert’ venues. His also-commonly-available stereo remake of “The Typewriter” was recorded in 1959.
