White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announces a new $275 million aid package "to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression" and boost the country's air defenses against Russian drones in particular. Speaking during her daily briefing, she also says US President Biden "looks forward to hosting the US-Africa Leaders Summit" next week, and tells reporters that American basketball star Brittney Griner was "in very good spirits" and "good health" upon her arrival at a US Army base in Texas.
