Background

Who is Antar?
Antar's original name was Antar bin Shaddad Al-Absi, who belonged to the brave and warrior tribe "Abs". He was born in 525 AD and died in 608 AD. Antar was a famous and capable poet of the Arabs.

Why Antar was Not Married with Abla?

Antar went to his uncle with Abla's message, but he flatly refused to give the bond, after which, under family pressure, the uncle made a condition of offering one hundred Numani camels as a dowry to give Abla's bond. Nomani camels were considered to be the most expensive camels of the highest quality. Their price was equivalent to the price of a Somersedes vehicle today. This condition was only made to humiliate Antar because everyone knew that Antar could not fulfill this condition.

Arab's Culture for Poets Marriage:

A tradition was known among the Arabs that if a man recites poetry on a woman, he can never marry her again. On one side, there was a condition of hundred camels and on the other side, this irrevocable tradition which could not be broken in any way. What happened then, the unfulfilled love of Antar and Abla, the chains of society bound them.
