With several different tournaments on each day, and big players like #Ninja, #Tfue, Cloakzy all making an appearance of some sorts, the Fortnite World Cup saw the best of the best descend to New York city for the biggest Fortnite event of all time.
The Celebrity Pro-Am competition at the Fortnite World Cup wrapped up on July 26, with Team Solary pro player Karim 'Airwaks' Benghalia and popular DJ RL Grime finishing in first place for the second time in a row.
After five weeks of grueling qualifiers, the duos that managed to qualify for the World Cup Finals gathered at the iconic Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City to battle out for a share of the $15 million prize pool.
Aqua and Nyhrox finished on top with 51 points, followed by Lazarus Esports' Rojo and Wolfiez in second place with 47 points, and the top-three was rounded off by 100 Thieves' Elevate and Ceice, who finished with 45 points.
The Solos tournament at the $30 million Fortnite World Cup wrapped up on July 28, with Sentinels pro player Kyle 'Bugha' Giersdorf finishing in first place and securing the $3 million grand prize.
Bugha finished atop the leaderboard with 59 points, an astonishing 26 points above CLG's Psalm, who finished with 33 points. The top-three was rounded off by NRG's Epikwhale with 32 points.
The competition used a format that awarded points to players for both eliminations and placements in each match. Here is how it all went down...
