कार्तिक मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी तिथि के दिन देवउठनी ग्यारस व्रत रखा जाता है। इस दिन को देवोत्थान एकादशी, देव प्रबोधनी जैसे कई नामों से जाना है। शास्त्रों के अनुसार इस दिन भगवान विष्णु चार माह बाद योग निद्रा से जागते हैं और पुनः अपने भक्तों की प्रार्थना सुनते हैं। इस दिन से शुभ कार्य, जैसे विवाह, मुंडन, उपनयन संस्कार, गृह प्रवेश इत्यादि शुरू हो जाते हैं। इस वर्ष देवउठनी एकादशी व्रत 4 अक्टूबर 2022के दिन रखा जाएगा। इस विशेष अवसर पर माता तुलसी से भगवान विष्णु का विवाह कराया जाता है। यह विशेष आयोजन गन्ने के मंडप में किया जाता है। लेकिन क्या आप जानते हैं कि इस दिन कई क्षेत्रों में किसान गन्ने की पूजा करते हैं। अगर नहीं तो आइए जानते हैं।

Devuthani Gyaras fast is observed on the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. This day is known by many names like Devotthan Ekadashi, Dev Prabodhini. According to the scriptures, on this day Lord Vishnu wakes up from yoga nidra after four months and again listens to the prayers of his devotees. Auspicious works like marriage, shaving, Upanayana rites, home entry etc. start from this day. This year Devuthani Ekadashi fast will be observed on 4th October 2022.
