Lee Ji Han Dies In South Korea's Halloween Festival

On Sunday (30 October), acting agencies 935 Entertainment and 9ato Entertainment confirmed that Lee Ji Han had been killed in the disaster in Itaewon district, Seoul, on Saturday (29 October).
“It’s true that Lee Ji Han passed away due to the accident in Itaewon on October 29.”
“We also hoped that it wasn’t true, and we were very shocked to hear the news. The family is suffering immense grief right now, so we are being very cautious. May he rest in peace.” The agencies said in an official statement.
It has been reported that Lee Ji Han passed away while trying to rescue a young girl from getting trampled (the girl's family has said) he then got into difficulties himself.
An estimated 100,000 people had gathered in the city’s nightlife district for Halloween celebration when the fatal crush occurred.
South Korean actor Lee Ji-han was among the 154 people who died in the crush. At least 132 other people are reportedly injured, including 37 in serious condition, amid fears the death toll could rise further.
The tragedy has now been deemed one of the deadliest peacetime accidents in South Korea’s history.
