A world-renowned street artist is encouraging anyone who has recovered from illness to share their stories of hope.
Christian Fenn, aka SecaOne, from Blackpool, was commissioned to brighten up a disused corridor at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital, but the project quickly grew wings.
The hand-painted butterflies in the new lounge area are accompanied by QR codes. Patients and their families can scan the codes, and read stories of how other people have come through hard times, to help them see a way forward.
Staff at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals say it has really helped to boost morale for patients and staff on the surrounding wards, including the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) ward.
