The Grand Finale race at the 2022 World Rowing Championships was a tribute to Czech rowing legend Ondrej Synek, racing against his friends and former legends in the men's single sculls : Mahé Drysdale, Olaf Tufte, Iztok Cop, Lassi Karonen and Alan Campbell.
