Cristiano Ronaldo refused to take a selfie with a fan as he walked down the tunnel at half-time of Manchester United's game against Sheriff Tiraspol.

United travelled to Chisinau to face the current Moldovan champions in the Europa League and led 2-0 at the break.

Jadon Sancho opened the scoring by finishing off a beautiful team move before Ronaldo doubled the advantage with a penalty.

It was the Portuguese forward's first goal of the season following a turbulent summer in which he asked to leave Old Trafford.

However, he was not in the mood for a picture as he headed to the dressing room at half-time.

The fan, who was part of the medical staff at the Zimbru Stadium, reached out to ask Ronaldo if he would stop to take a photo.

The 37-year-old barely even glanced at the woman as he brushed off her outstretched arm and ignored the request as he went down the tunnel.

A member of staff quickly ushered the fan back and she looked stunned at the exchange as she pulled a face.

United closed out their 2-0 win in the second half as they got off the mark in the Europa League following defeat to Real Sociedad last week.

Ronaldo received backlash last season when he was filmed appearing to slap a phone out of the hands of a 14-year-old boy after United lost to Everton at Goodison Park.

The forward apologized afterwards but was interviewed by police in relation to alleged assault and criminal damage and received a caution.

The child's mother declined the opportunity to meet Ronaldo and branded him 'arrogant' after speaking to the Portuguese international on the phone.
