The Cádiz goalkeeper, Jeremías Ledesma, took the applause after running across the field of play to deliver a defibrillator to the paramedics who were treating a fan in the stands.

The incident occurred in the 85th minute of the Cádiz La Liga match against Barcelona.
With the score at 2–0 for Barcelona, ​​a Cádiz fan fell ill in the stands, causing the match to be stopped immediately.

At that moment, paramedics rushed to attend to the fan who needed urgent medical attention. The Cadiz goalkeeper Ledesma was caught running with a defibrillator in hand to the paramedics.

The match was stopped for many minutes as the stadium fell silent after the incident.
Barcelona player Ronald Araujo was seen praying in midfield, while goalkeeper Marc Andre Ter Stegen looked very concerned.

At first, the players stayed on the pitch as all attention turned to the distraught fan in the stands. Finally, the game was stopped and the referee ordered the players to return to the locker room.

Barcelona tweeted that the match had to be restarted at 21:05 CEST.
