Invention by a Kent woman which could help with the early detection of breast cancer wins leading award

It's hoped new technology created by a Kent woman will help more of us regularly check our breasts for signs of cancer.

Dotplot uses sound waves to monitor breast tissue - the details are saved in an app and compared each month.

The user will be alerted to any significant changes and urged to see a GP.

Debra Babalola from Bromley helped come up with the idea.

The tech has won this year's prestigious James Dyson Award.
