All Aboard East Coast Trains - Episode 3 Match Day
It’s the last day of the premier league football season and throngs of potentially rowdy
fans are crisscrossing the country in search of glory. For East Coast Trains staff, this
means heightened security and crowd control procedures, as well as a heavy police
presence to help enforce an alcohol ban on selected trains. At King’s Cross Station, an
elaborate plan keeps fans of opposing teams from crossing paths before the match.
Later, a radio problem means hundreds of passengers must be transferred to a standby
train. Meanwhile, the luxurious Orient Express pulls in to York Station. After the match,
the first batch of jubilant Arsenal fans is dispatched in Newcastle, while thousands of
Sunderland fans pour into King’s Cross where they face an alcohol ban for the journey
home. After nightfall, a pool of fresh blood is discovered at York Station and the search
is on for the injured party.
