Independence Day of Ukraine is the main state holiday in modern Ukraine, celebrated on 24 August in commemoration of the Declaration of Independence of 1991
To mark Ukrainian Independence Day, and 6 months since Russia's brutal invasion of Ukraine, then Ukrainian Community in Edinburgh is holding a march from the Volodomyr Velacky monument (Calton Hill Steps) to the Holodmor Statue.
