This is the horrifying moment a careless e-scooter rider ploughed straight into a car. The reckless rider narrowly cheated injury or even death when he rammed straight into the vehicle. In dashcam footage of the smash at 6.52pm on 6 July, the rider appears oblivious to oncoming traffic as he scoots straight out into a busy road. Luckily no one appears to have been hurt during the prang on the junction of Longsprings and Leavesden Road in Watford, Hertfordshire. The rider leapt from his scooter as it ran into the car but then carried on, almost as if nothing had happened. E-scooters are not legal for road use and cannot be insured. Three people died in e-scooter crashes between January 2020 and June 2021, according to the government website. They were all e-scooter users.
