La TRANSVESUBIENNE millésime 2009 renoue avec la légende et marquera, avec la participation du Champion Olympique Julien ABSALON, la liaison des Alpes d’Azur à la Baie des Anges d’une manière éclatante.
Les Alpes-Maritimes et son trésor de sentiers, de monts en forêts, de vallées en plaines, seront une nouvelle fois au devant de la scène sous les roues d’un demi-millier de candidats au défi, qu’il soit sportif ou personnel.
La course s’élancera de La Colmiane et prendra cap au Sud sur les chemins de crête Tinée et Vésubie, franchira la forteresse de roc du Brec d’Utelle, escaladera le plateau de la Madonne d’Utelle, cheminera dans les forêts de Levens pour approcher les collines arides du Mont Cima avant l’ultime ascension du Mont Chauve, la dégringolade jusqu’à Nice et l’arrivée par la voie la plus naturelle qu’est le lit du Paillon jusqu’au bord de mer.

The Transvesubienne 2009 enjoys renewed legend and will mark in a brilliant manner, with 2 Olympics medallist from Beijing, the French Julien ABSALON (Orbéa) Gold Medal and Swiss Nino SCHURTER (Swiss power) Bronze Medal both in XC, the link from the “French Riviera” Alps to Nice (Angels bay).
The Alpes Maritimes and its treasure of patches, going from mounts to forests, from valleys to plains, will be once again highlighted by a half thousand candidates challenging for a result or to go over their own limits.
The race dashes from La Colmiane and will take south cape through crest patches (Tinée & Vésubie). Later it will pass through the fortress of Brec d’Utelle, will climb the plateau of Madonne d’Utelle, to keep going into the forest of Levens to approach the dry hills of Mont Cima just before the last ascent of Mont Chauve. Afterward the track will go down into a technical single track until Nice and to reach the finish area which is along the sea track goes for the final section by the bed of the river called Paillon.
