How To Repair Broken Plastic Gear Teeth, Broken Gear Tooth. how to repair broken plastic gear teeth, Fixing plastic gears, How to remake broken gears, gear teeth repair. while working on analog timer, i found a gear broken, it is not available in market, so i took silicon glue gun and applied hot glue on paper. i covered the shaft hole of the gear with insulation tape, then i dipped this gear in lubricant oil, and placed on the hot glue to take footprint of the gear. when the hot glue cooled down, then i removed the gear and aligned the broken side in the footprinted silicon and filled with epoxy (using resin and hardener). after cleaning, finishing the gear started working as an original gear.
