Disney+ has released the new trailer for its upcoming series Andor and it is looking fantastic. The new, original series from Lucasfilm takes place prior to the events of Rogue One.
The "Andor" series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor's journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It's an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
A lot of the show was shot on location in England and Scotland and you can really see how that changes the feel of things when compared to the shows shot mainly on The Volume.
Andor will take place five years prior to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, over the course of one year. The second season of Andor will take place over the following four years. Both seasons will be 12 episodes in length.
Directed by Toby Haynes, the new series stars Diego Luna, Adria Arjona, Genevieve O'Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Forest Whitaker and Kyle Soller.
The executive producers are Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, Diego Luna and Michelle Rejwan. Tony Gilroy is the creator and showrunner.
Experience the three-episode premiere on 21st September 2022.
