Russia pounds Kharkiv after expanding war aims

In Ukraine's second largest city Kharkiv, Russian shelling has killed another three people and wounded several others. The chief of Kharkiv national police, Volodymyr Tymoshko, said there were no military targets nearby. In the city of Kramatorsk in the Donbas region a school was destroyed.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's military is training its soldiers to use new longer-range arms arriving from the West. Russia says the supply of weapons from Western countries is forcing Moscow to widen its offensive in Ukraine. The regional prosecutor’s office said three people were killed and 23 wounded in shelling of two districts.
