शायजा केरल के कन्नूर ज़िले में रहती हैं. कई महिलाओं की तरह, उनके होठों के ऊपर चेहरे पर कुछ बाल सालों से बाल थे.वे अपनी भंवें नियमित रूप से थ्रेड करवाती थीं लेकिन उनका कहना है कि होठों के ऊपर के बालों को हटाने की ज़रूरत उन्होंने कभी नहीं समझी.क़रीब पांच साल पहले, ये धीरे-धीरे घने होने लगे और मूंछें दिखने लगीं तो शायजा ने इन्हें रखने का फ़ैसला किया.

Shayja lives in Kannur district of Kerala. Like many women, she had some Facial hair above her lips for years. She used to get her brows threaded regularly but she says she never understood the need to remove the hair above her lips. About five years ago They gradually started getting thick and the moustache started showing, so Shayja decided to keep them.
