Farmers convene for emergency foot and mouth plan meeting

Hundreds of farmers gathered in Mount Barker today anxious to hear what is being done to stop Foot and Mouth disease from entering Western Australia. While experts gave advice on how to minimise stock losses, the WA Agriculture Minister promised to implement an immediate lockdown of livestock farms and introduce border restrictions should the disease get into Australia.
