Ilford house fire: Child and adults forced to flee ‘destroyed’ burning building

A child and three adults were forced to flee a burning building in Ilford which was partly “destroyed” by a house fire.
Firefighters rushed to Mortlake Road, Ilford, in Redbridge, earlier this afternoon (Thursday, July 14) after reports a mid-terraced house was ablaze.
Significant parts of the ground floor and the roof were destroyed by the fire.
Videos shared on social media show thick, dark grey smoke gushing from a small house in a row of terraced properties, with firefighters braving battling back the flames with hoses.
