Storyline
Thor's retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods. To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who - to Thor's surprise - inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. Together, they embark upon a harrowing cosmic adventure to uncover the mystery of the God Butcher's vengeance and stop him before it's too late.

Chris Hemsworth, on his eighth time playing the character of Thor, achieved his biggest physique ever for this film - getting up to 105 kilos or 231 pounds for the role. His longtime trainer, Luke Zocchi said, "He is in phenomenal nick. He's the biggest he has ever been. He's the heaviest he's ever been." This extent of musculature required Hemsworth to eat at least 8 times a day during the entire duration of filming just to maintain all the muscle mass he had acquired.
