Ostriches: After the eggs are laid, the mother incubates them during the day and the father takes over at night. Then the male actively participates in the education and protection of the babies.

Seahorses: When the female introduces her eggs into the male's pouch, the male takes care of the rest: he fertilizes the eggs and carries them until 2 months. He will then proceed to a long and trying childbirth. After delivery, however, the babies will be on their own.

Jacanas: The male takes care of his offspring (education, feeding...) while the female ensures the security of the family.

Emperor penguin: When the female lays the egg, she lays it at her mate's feet. He will have to take care of it during weeks until the return of the mother, gone fishing. To protect it from the cold, the father maintains the egg on his feet at a temperature of 87*F.

Rheas: The male mates with several females who lay eggs in his nest. He will then be in charge of the brooding of the eggs (between 10 and 16 on average), their protection and their education.

Owl Monkeys: The males take care of the education of the children (carrying on the back, play...).
The females are only responsible for suckling.
