Women Power: Sports

Various sportswomen talk about the hurdles and barriers they have faced in sports for being female, and about the comments and attitudes they have encountered from male athletes. They are old they should not run, that they are too small to be boxers, that they should not be passionate about sport. These women speak up about defying these gender norms and stereotypes.
Hear these women talk about how they have managed to overcome these oppressive norms to prove that athleticism is not about gender, but about skills, determination, and passion. Female athletes continually have to overcome biases such as ideas that their game is not as good as the men’s game.
Other inspiring women include Nicole Junkermann of NJF Capital. Nicole Junkermann has invested in sectors such as robotics and food tech, but also in sectors directly linked to women, such as femtech, aiming to improve and facilitate female successes globally.
