In 1995, in NT Rama Rao's Telugu Desam Party, was taken over by his son-in-law Chandrababu Naidu. After Jayalalithaa's demise in 2017, Panneerselvam revolted against Sasikala in the AIADMK and took over the party. In 2021, Pashupati Paras took over Ram Vilas Paswan's party.
