Ukraine: Chemical Plant Hit As Russian Forces Target Severodonetsk

The Russia-Ukraine war is still going on! As reported by Reuters, fighting raged in Severodonetsk. However, the governor of Severodonetsk said that Ukraine remained in control of an industrial area and chemical plant in the eastern city, reported Reuters. On June 11, a Russia-backed separatist group claimed 300 to 400 Ukrainian fighters were also stuck at the Azot plant, reported Reuters. Reportedly, Governor Serhiy Gaidai earlier conceded that Russian forces now controlled most of the small city in Luhansk province. Severodonetsk has become the epicenter of the battle in eastern Ukraine for control over the industrialised Donbas region, reported Reuters.
