Despite this, some people gathered at the main gate of the Golden Temple and were seen raising slogans in support of Khalistan. Many posters of Khalistani separatist Jarnail Bhindrawale also appeared in their hands.

पंजाब में ऑपरेशन ब्लू स्टार की 38वीं बरसी पर सोमवार को सुरक्षा व्यवस्था काफी बढ़ा दी गई. अमृतसर में बंद के ऐलान को देखते हुए काफी एहतियायत बरतने के निर्देश जारी हुए. इसके बावजूद स्वर्ण मंदिर के मुख्य द्वार पर कुछ लोग जमा होकर खालिस्तान के समर्थन में नारे लगाते दिखे. इनके हाथ में खालिस्तानी अलगाववादी जरनैल भिंडरावाले का पोस्टर भी दिखाई दिया.
