An inquest has been opened into the death of Joseph Day - whose body was discovered in early May after he went missing from his home in Bristol. The 31-year-old was found at Avon Gorge, close to Clifton Observatory, on May 3 at 7.42am

Police investigating a murder in Brislington have reassured residents that they have ‘no concerns for their personal safety’ after a ‘violent’ brawl left one man dead and six others injured. The disorder broke out on Bloomfield Road just before 10pm on Tuesday and saw five men arrested on suspicion of murder.

And A giant puppet of a Syrian refugee child is coming to Bristol next month as part of a second leg of her UK tour. Little Amal is 3.5 metres tall, and was created to symbolize millions of displaced children. She will come to the city on June 24.
