Woman Paints Concrete Floor While Doing DIY Basement Makeover

This woman decided to give a budget-friendly DIY makeover to her mom's basement. After cleaning the huge space and painting its ceiling and walls carefully she finally decided to take the last step by painting the concrete floor of the underground area. She first applied a coat of primer on the floor and added two coats of brown paint over it. The basement looked neat and spacious after her hard work on it.

00:00In today's video we are going to be painting the concrete floor because it was exposed concrete
00:04It hadn't been previously painted before doing this. You want to make sure that the floors are completely prepped
00:08I'm going to be dumping the paint out and then rolling it instead of using some kind of tray
00:12I find that it's much easier and much quicker and efficient to just do it that way
00:16So one step closer to being done this basement guys. Let's paint these floors

02:32Just as a reference point of how many gallons you'll probably need
02:35We used two gallons of the kills all-purpose primer to cover the entire area at 600 square feet
02:40We only had to do it once and then for the dry lock waterproofing concrete paint
02:44We used two gallons one gallon was able to do the whole entire first coat
02:48And then we did the second gallon to do the second coat and that was enough
02:51So we needed two gallons of each to complete this project and they're roughly 35 36 dollars a gallon
02:57This was definitely the easiest of the three things to do between the ceiling the walls and the floor the floor so much easier
03:03I'm gonna let it dry and then i'll show you guys the before and the after
