Every year, over 1,100 youth transition out of Arizona’s foster system and into an uncertain future. EVIT is working to grow opportunities for foster youth to have a better chance at success. EVIT started a new program this year that helps youth who are getting ready to transition out of the foster care system to earn their GED, receive career training & earn an industry certification, and learn life skills.

The East Valley Institute of Technology is a public Career Technical Education District (CTED) providing over 40 career training programs for East Valley high school students and adults at two central campuses in Mesa and a branch campus at Apache Junction High School. At EVIT, we strongly believe that we can change lives by loving our students serving our communities with career and college preparatory training that produces a qualified workforce. For more information about EVIT’s foster care program, call Jaron Neal at 480-461-4035. To learn more about EVIT, visit www.evit.com.
