In this meeting, PM Modi appealed to the states to reduce VAT. So that the prices of petrol and diesel can be reduced. On Thursday, the day after this meeting, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi targeted PM Modi by tweeting.

पेट्रोल-डीजल के बढ़े दामों पर राजनीतिक बयानबाजी जारी है. विपक्षी दल लगातार केंद्र सरकार पर सवाल दाग रहे हैं. अब, कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी पर सवाल दागे हैं. दरअसल, एक दिन पहले बुधवार को पीएम मोदी ने राज्यों के सीएम के साथ बैठक की थी. इस बैठक में पीएम मोदी ने राज्यों से वैट घटाने की अपील की थी. जिससे पेट्रोल-डीजल की कीमतें कम हो सकें. इस बैठक के अगले दिन गुरुवार को कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी ने ट्वीट करके पीएम मोदी पर निशाना साधा.
