Intense heat causes snow to melt into river near Hemkund Sahib Yatra

Increasing heat and humidity have caused a large amount of snow to melt into the river near the Hemkund Sahib Yatra. The maximum temperature in Chamoli is expected to be around 32 degrees Celsius on April 20, according to the India Meteorological Department.
