This California town is putting 400 goats to work in the hopes of preventing wildfires by letting them graze on weeds and long grass that would otherwise be too hard for humans to trim themselves.
‘The #westsacgoats are baaaaaack! No ‘kidding’ around,’ the city of West Sacramento writes on its website. ‘The 400 goats can clear about two acres of brush per day, in an environmentally friendly manner as part of the City's wildfire suppression program.’
