The Russian jets that flew into the Swedish airspace on March 2 were reportedly equipped with nuclear warheads. The Russian fighters had entered Swedish territory, near the island of Gotland, over the Baltic Sea.
At the time of the incident, it was not clear if the Russian jets were carrying any weapons.
However, Swedish media is now reporting that of four Russian aircraft, two were armed with nuclear weapons.According to Swedish media, the flyover that lasted about a minute was a deliberate act designed to intimidate Sweden.
